- Sri Lanka has a tropical climate characterised by distinct wet and dry seasons. Its climate is influenced by the monsoons, which bring rains from different directions:
  • Northeast Monsoon | December to March: Peak season for its tourism industry. This is the best time to visit most of its destinations like Colombo, Galle, Mirissa, Unawatuna, and Bentota on the southwestern Coast.
  • Southwest Monsoon | June to September: Though its other coastal areas experience heavy rain, areas like Trincomalee and Passikudah are great for exploration during this time.
  • The inter-monsoon periods (April to May, October to November) brings the occasional rainshower, but offers generally pleasant weather.
- There are many trekking, hiking, and surfing opportunities in Sri Lanka. Adventure meets nature in this country. So if that sounds like your thing, this is the destination for you.
